The Story
I have been teaching Pilates & strength training for over 16 years. I qualified in 2009 from Body Control Pilates, completing my training across classical mat, Reformer, Cadillac, bone health, back health, pre & postnatal, small Pilates props, barre & TRX. Now in my late 40s I feel fitter, stronger and healthier than ever and look to bring all of my knowledge and training to my classes both in the studio & online.

Key principles of the Pilates method is control and precision. Two important elements to use during movement to ensure deep core, full body activation and stability.
Often you we can perform an exercise and not ‘feel it’. This is usually due to the lack of control and precision. Slowing things down to perfect the movement first, helps with connection and better movement patterns.
REMEMBER Pilates is where complete muscle and fascia activation from head to toe is achieved; and why it’s so good for toning, lengthening and strengthening the body.

Try 2-4 sets of 12-14 reps. Always warm up beforehand so the body is ready to perform.
1. Single leg stretch lift

LIFTING WEIGHTS….is not all about the load! 🔥
Maybe a little controversial (!) but we can all look to add weight for progressive overload…..but if the lift is generated from momentum rather than control…..it’s going to take twice as long to see the benefits & results?!
Slowing things down takes a lot more work and feels twice as hard. Speed is not always the answer. You may even find you can’t lift as much! Give it a try and let me know.
